Rachel started her career in cancer nursing in 2009, on a chemotherapy day unit at Walsall Manor Hospital. It was here she truly learned what cancer nursing was about and was supported through a BSc in Oncology and Haematology. In 2014, she moved to Good Hope Hospital as the Oncology CNS, and very soon after began her chemotherapy clinics, particularly in lung oncology. Since then, she has completed an MSc in Clinical Oncology at the University of Birmingham and a PG certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice.

In 2021, Rachel was promoted to her role as Oncology ACP at University Hospitals Birmingham. Rachel has a special interest in molecular biomarkers in lung and colorectal cancers, managing adverse events in SACT, and education for cancer nurses.

Dr Escriu completed medical school in Barcelona and worked as a junior doctor in several UK hospitals before starting oncology training at Oxford's Churchill Hospital.

He completed a cancer biology PhD at the University of Cambridge before obtaining a higher specialist registration in Liverpool. Dr Escriu sub-specialised in thoracic oncology with a specialist interest in targeted treatments and immune therapy. He has extensive experience in clinical and translational research with multiple publications.

Dr Georgios Basdanis is a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist who works in both NHS and private practice at St Thomas’ Hospital and Guy’s Cancer Centre in London.

Dr. Basdanis has extensive experience working with individuals with mental health difficulties in the context of chronic or severe physical health problems. He has specialist knowledge in the field of psycho-oncology, where he supports patients throughout their cancer diagnosis and treatment, including managing the side effects of oncology medications.

Professor Geoffrey Liu is a Medical Oncologist and the M. Qasim Chair in Lung Cancer Translational Research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He is also a Professor of Medicine, Medical Biophysics, Pharmacology and Toxicology, at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, and a Professor of Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. His clinical focus has been in lung cancer and thymic neoplasms. He has held over 50 peer-reviewed grants, participated in over five dozen clinical trials, and has over 500 peer-reviewed publications, including New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Oncology, Lancet Public Health, Nature, Nature Genetics, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Journal of Thoracic Oncology.

Jo Vick has been a dedicated Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist at The Royal Marsden Hospital for 12 years. In 2019, she was appointed as the lead CNS for the team. Jo has completed her physical assessment and prescribing module and is actively involved in the multi-professional prescribing clinic for all treatment modalities.

Jo has a particular interest in the mutation-positive lung cancer patient group and played a key role in developing the patient booklet titled "Living with ALK +ve lung cancer, understanding your diagnosis." She has also contributed to the paper "Successful Lorlatinib Rechallenge After Severe Drug-Induced Psychosis in ALK-Positive Metastatic NSCLC: A Case Report," published in JTO Clinical and Research Reports in 2024.

Bing qualified as a Registered Nurse in China in 2000 and moved to the UK in 2010. Since 2017, she has been a Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist, covering diagnostic and treatment pathways. In this role, Bing has successfully completed a BSc in Acute Care and an Independent Prescriber qualification.

Bing's main interest is nurse-led research and advanced clinical practice. She has been involved in many national research projects and completed the Associate PI program with the NIHR. Bing is also a co-author of several posters accepted by LCNUK, BTOG and UKONS, and a committee member of LCNUK.

Recently, Bing became the Lead LCNS at Barts Health. She focuses on workforce planning and collaborative working in the second largest cancer centre in the UK. Bing advocates for equal service access for minority patient groups diagnosed with lung cancer, recognising the barriers they face in accessing care, support, and treatment.
